The black and white feline seen in the pictures was found wandering the streets while pregnant and in need of help. Fortunately, compassionate individuals came to her aid, recognizing her need for medical attention and a secure environment. She had wounds on her neck and chest, indicating she may have been abandoned or neglected. They tended to her injuries and ensured she had a safe place to give birth to her kittens. Working alongside Salty Animal Rescue, the goal was to find loving homes for both the mother cat and her five little ones.
According to @saltyanimalrescue, Oreo the friendly mama cat was overjoyed to have found a forever home after a long time wandering the streets. Katelyn and Karly, the founders of Salty Animal Rescue, expressed their relief that Oreo and her kittens will never have to face life on the streets again, thereby helping reduce the number of stray and feral cats in the neighborhood.

Oreo is simply glowing with joy, basking in all the love and care she and her kittens are receiving in their new safe haven.”
According to @saltyanimalrescue, the kittens began to open their eyes and take their first steps alongside their mother after about two weeks. Despite her past of being abandoned, Oreo never lost her trust in people and remained affectionate. She cherished the cuddles she received from her rescuers, especially foster dad Chris, whom she became particularly fond of and was always purring and rubbing against.

Oreo’s adorable kittens have moved to a bigger area, where they are now busy exploring and playing around. The little ones have discovered the joy of wrestling with each other and chasing after their mother’s tail.

“Oreo was a wonderful mother to her kittens and remained affectionate and sweet. She quickly became close companions with our resident dog, Nood, and happily allowed her to interact with the kittens. Each day, the kittens were revealing more of their unique personalities.”
