Leville, a lovable Bulldog mix, was one of these precious dogs whose owner neglected her right to a happy life. She was abandoned on the streets by a backyard breeder who no longer saw any value in her.
Lost and alone, Leville wandered the streets, longing for kindness and affection. Thankfully, a shelter took her in and gave her the chance to experience the love and care she so rightfully deserved.
Leville let out a sigh of relief when a shelter in sunny San Bernardino, California took her in. She was hopeful that this would be the start of a new chapter in her life, one filled with the happiness she had been longing for.
But her hopes were dashed when she was diagnosed with a prolapsed uterus upon arrival at the shelter. The shelter, lacking the resources to provide the necessary treatment, sadly added her to their euthanasia list. Leville’s eyes held a look of fear, as if she knew her fate was hanging by a thread.
Just when things seemed bleak, Love Leo Rescue, a non-profit organization based in Santa Monica, stepped in to save the day. They couldn’t bear to see anything happen to Leville, so they swiftly rescued her from the shelter and brought her into their care.
As Leville walked out of the shelter, her tail wagged with newfound hope and her eyes sparkled with optimism once more. Her rescuers suspected that she had been used for breeding until her health started to decline, leading to the misdiagnosis of a prolapsed uterus.
A visit to the vet revealed that Leville was actually completely healthy, needing only a routine spay surgery. Estimated to be around two to three years old, this resilient pup was finally on the path to a brighter future.
Leville eagerly awaits the day she can find her forever family, ready to bring joy and love wherever she goes.
Following her spay surgery, Leville went to live with her foster family, who showered her with love and attention. As she adapted to her new home, Leville’s true colors began to shine through. The rescue organization described her as a typical bulldog mix – silly, playful, and with a personality that could brighten anyone’s day. She gets along famously with her fellow furry foster siblings and enjoys going on leisurely strolls with them.
