Empire is the second single from Shakira’s self-тιтled new album, which was released also on Tuesday.

The Colombian-born songstress, who has been in a relationship with Spanish footballer Gerard Pique since 2011 and is the mother of their son Milan, 14 months, has never wed.
She previously was in a 11-year relationship with Antonio de la Rua.
‘I used to believe I had to be married to have kids,’ she told USA Today in 2009. ‘The culture kind of gives us tunnel vision. But we function as a married couple; we don’t need papers for that.’

She recently confessed her boyfriend Gerard won’t let her film videos with men.
But collaborating with the Bajan beauty was okay.
As Shakira told Billboard, ‘He’s very territorial, and since he no longer lets me do videos with men, well, I have to do them with women.
‘It’s more than implied in our relationship that I can’t do videos like I used to. It’s out of the question – which I like, by the way. I like that he protects his turf and he values me, in a way that the only person that he would ever let graze my thigh would be Rihanna.’
